New Innovations in Irrigation Management on Display at Husker Harvest Days
(OMAHA, Neb.) – Lindsay Corporation (NYSE: LNN), a leading global manufacturer and distributor of irrigation and infrastructure equipment and technology, announces the launch of several new agricultural irrigation products designed to improve operational efficiency and boost yields. The new products will be on display and available for hands-on demonstrations at the Zimmatic® booth (410) during Husker Harvest Days, held September 11- 13 in Grand Island, Nebraska.
New innovations on display and available for demonstration will include:
- FieldNET Advisor® - new features in this one-of-a-kind tool give growers an increased level of customization and mobility, while helping them be even more precise when deciding when, where and how much to irrigate. This automated irrigation recommendation and scheduling tool now is available to growers in 17 countries, and it can be used with more than 20 different crops.
- Zimmatic Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) – designed specifically for production agricultural use, a major upgrade delivers the easiest to use, most intuitive user experience in the industry. Designed with pivot irrigation in mind, it has new software, a new controller and a larger 5.7” color touchscreen that allows for quick set-up and easy-to-understand monitoring. Growers can remotely manage the Zimmatic VFD from anywhere, via built-in integration with Lindsay’s FieldNET remote monitoring and control tool.
- NFTrax® 2.0 – the recently updated, patented airless wheel design that will never go flat and keeps wheel ruts to a minimum. A heavy-duty vulcanized rubber belt with a steel cable core is tensioned over 10 newly designed, winged drive points to apply even pressure across the entire belt surface. This forms a larger surface area to evenly distribute the machine’s weight, resulting in improved performance over varying terrain and field features.
- NFTrax Z-Tread – a new, aggressive tread design for where more traction is required – slopes, low spots, areas with slick, clay-based soil, etc.
“From advanced remote telemetry to innovative tracking solutions, we offer customized solutions to meet every grower’s needs,” said Brian Magnusson, vice president of technology and innovation at Lindsay Corporation. “At Lindsay Corporation, we are committed to providing growers with the tools they need to make the most of every acre they farm and every drop of water they use.”
Visitors to Zimmatic booth 410 at Husker Harvest Days also will have an opportunity to test their irrigation knowledge with an “Irrigation I.Q.” test, enter a sweepstakes to wind a drone and get a free consultation to see how their irrigation plan compares to FieldNET Advisor.
