We are proud to announce that we have entered into a partnership with Farmers Edge– a global leader in precision digital ag solutions.
What does that mean to you?
It means our customers will have access to an unmatched suite of ag tech and digital agronomy solutions.
“Among other things, this collaboration will allow us to provide our FieldNET®customers exclusive access, within the irrigation management industry, to daily, high-resolution satellite imagery from Farmer’s Edge,” said Randy Wood, president of Global Agricultural Irrigation at Lindsay Corporation. “Connecting these two powerful ag tech platforms will give growers a powerful irrigation management solution, helping them maximize the value of their farm data to drive increased profitability.”
“Our strategy is rooted in whole-farm integration. Data integration is critical to help growers make the best possible decisions, maximize farm productivity and efficiency,” said Wade Barnes, CEO of Farmers Edge. “This partnership is another piece of the puzzle in our execution to build one digital platform that unlocks the value of data and addresses all aspects of farm management – from seeding to harvest and everything in between, including irrigation management.”
In addition to satellite imagery, Farmers Edge collects data from on-farm weather stations, telematics devices and soil sampling. The data is integrated, analyzed and available in one, easy-to-use platform.
FieldNET is a fully integrated wireless management tool that gives growers the ability to remotely monitor and control entire irrigation systems, regardless of electric pivot brand. The platform delivers real-time status updates and alerts about possible performance issues. For added decision support, FieldNET Advisor™ takes this to the next level, delivering science-based recommendations to help growers decide precisely when, where and how much to irrigate.
Growers who utilize both FieldNET and FieldNET Advisor will have the ability to seamlessly share key data back and forth between the two platforms.
Data that will flow from Farmers Edge to FieldNET include field boundaries, soil zones, soil characteristics, weather data and historic yield data. Irrigation data, such as the current operational status of irrigation equipment and historical as-applied irrigation data, will flow from FieldNET to Farmers Edge, providing customers with a comprehensive remote irrigation management solution.
