Watertronics Adds A New Programmable Logic Controller
To Its Line Of Variable Frequency Drive Pump Panels

    

(GRAND ISLAND, Neb.) – September 2017— Watertronics, a Lindsay Company, has added a new programmable logic controller (PLC) to its line of variable frequency drive (VFD) pump panels. The affordable and user-friendly PLC decreases set-up time – increasing efficiency and lowering overall operation costs.

“In recent years, growers have started utilizing VFDs to more efficiently regulate water pressure for their irrigation equipment. This technology automatically adjusts pump speed to match the system demand, saving energy and water,” said Bob Koehler, agriculture market manager at Watertronics. “Traditionally, PLCs have been expensive and difficult to program. Our cost-effective solution boasts a 3.5-inch touchscreen that guides users through a start-up menu, allowing for quick set up and easy-to-understand monitoring.”

Watertronics VFDs are particularly valuable for corners, multiple pivots with a common pump header, pivots on inclines/hills, drop spans, Precision VRI, turning valves on/off and drip irrigation zones with varying flow and pressure. The VFDs can be fully integrated with FieldNET® by Lindsay for continuous remote monitoring and control.
